Yanaka, Tokyo

Yanaka is like a time capsule. It's the part of Tokyo, where you can still see old wooden houses, winding streets, small temples, wagashi (sweets) shops, and cafes. In the northeast section of Tokyo, it is quite, rustic, and feels a world away from the hustle, bustle and neon lights of the city.

We got off at Nippori Station and walked through the Yanaka Cemetery to get to the main part of town.
