Jim Thompson House

To be honest, I was on the fence about going to the Jim Thompson House. Not knowing anything about it, I thought it might be a tourist trap to selling tshirts. Well, it is definitely a tourist spot but not bad as I feared. As a first-timer in Bangkok, I was glad I went. It was a dream house, a beautifully preserved estate that design nerds will appreciate. The details within the sumptuous teak villas showcase Jim Thompson as an innovator in interior design, furnishings, and art. If you want to know what's inside, you'll have to see it for yourself. The house guides were taken by Amelia and showed her around the main courtyard. Here's Amelia mesmerized by a Thai dancer.

Ahhhh, Thai iced tea and fresh coconut refreshments in the afternoon.

On to MBK for foot massages. Amelia got the empty chair in between Gina and myself. When our massages started and she realized she's not getting one, little girl started demanding, "massage, massage" in a very loud voice. She stopped only when my masseuse rubbed her little feet. Incorrigible.
